Christian Bauer is a 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿, 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 for corporations, governments and HNWIs/Family Offices. He specializes in merging creativity with technology and transforming ideas into projects. With over 35 years of international entrepreneurial experience, he has worked in 46 countries.

Since 1998 Christian Bauer manages projects for Austrian artist André Heller (see http://www.andreheller.com) and was leading several other Creative Agencies combining arts and culture with technology, working for organisations like Red Bull, Swarovski, Bertelsmann, Daimler, Porsche, FIFA, IKEA, VELUX, the City of Vienna, the United Nations, the Federal Government of Germany, the Government of the Emirate Sharjah (their investment organization Shurooq) in the UAE, the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF), Casinos Austria, Wiener Städtische Insurance, Bank Austria, Eurovision 2015, the Buckminster Fuller Institute, WWF, Greenpeace and others. Results were the realization and extension of highly successful projects like the Swarovski Crystal Worlds (http://kristallwelten.com), the House of Music in Vienna (http://hausdermusik.com), Al Noor Island (http://alnoorisland.ae) and other large cultural and arts projects. Christian Bauer was also one of the leaders in the creative domain by cowriting the Impulsprogramm, the first federal initiative to support creative industries in Austria in 2003, later renamed to Creative Austria..

He originally was an early pioneer in Virtual Worlds, Virtual Reality, Web3D/VRML and a GIS/CAD expert. In the 1990s, he successfully developed and operated a start-up in Silicon Valley. Today the IT-Focus is on AI, conducting AI-Projects for art authentification (of mostly Old Master Paintings) and a project for Climate Mitigation in architecture and construction business for the GCC region. Christian Bauer was 10 years (1996-2005) a member of Siggraph’s International Committee (New Orleans, Los Angeles, Orlando, San Antonio, San Diego and Los Angeles), the world’s largest event on Computer Graphics and he was Chair of VRML’99, Co-Chair of VRML’98 both ACM-sponsored conferences, Co-Organizer of the Virtual Reality World ’95 (Stuttgart), Initiator of the Virtual Reality Vienna ’93 (Vienna) and others.

Christian Bauer works for the European Commission on Future and Emerging Technologies and Future Internet Research as Evaluator, Rapporteur and Vice Chair in funding evaluations for nearly 30 years. He is an evaluator and advisor for Solar Impulse, the World Summit Award, Social Impact Award, Pro European Values Initiative, and others. Christian Bauer holds a Recognition of Service Award from ACM (the Association for Computing Machinery), the oldest non-profit organization in the computing industry.

He has given guest lectures at Harvard University’s Faculty of Architecture and at MIT, served as an assistant professor at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, the Institute for Urban Design and Regional Planning. He taught at the Institute of Experimental Architecture and at several Universities of Applied Sciences in Austria and other academic institutions.
